About This Project

Eckardt was chosen as the electrical contractor to construct a new facility for the First United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Georgia. This project was a second location for the church located near the Reynolds Plantation development at Lake Oconee, approximately 70 miles east of Atlanta. This south campus consisted of a main floor with a 750-person sanctuary, church offices and a bridal parlor. The lower level of the facility included a full-service kitchen, choir practice room, a large multipurpose room and numerous classrooms. Despite numerous challenges such as a remote job location, schedule delays and defective products, Eckardt delivered a successful project on schedule. With safety a major concern on this project, we maintained a safety record of no loss time accidents while working over 13,300 man hours.
