This project consisted of expanding the data center to include 28,000 square feet of raised access floor area and an additional 6,000 square feet of space for electrical infrastructure support systems. This expansion required the installation of new main switchboards, three 2,500 kw emergency power generators and associated paralleling switchgear, UPS systems feeding twenty-six PDU’s, thirty-one 3-ton CRAC units, three AHU’s (air handling units), two 600-ton cooling towers, two 600 ton chiller units, three 35,000 gallon emergency water storage tanks along with associated controls, monitors, and fire alarm/suppression systems. Upgrades were also made to the existing building management system and four existing emergency generators and switchgear. A back-up utility power transformer was installed to serve the facility.
